Collaboration, Community and Interdependence

March was a very vibrant month at THiNK as we participated in several engagements that involved the collaborative efforts of people from diverse tech organisations.

It was an active month filled with meaningful and significant discussions on Natural Language Processing, Localisation and Responsible AI, which are very important to our community.

AI as a tool for Public Service Delivery

Brian Omwenga participated in using AI as a tool for public service delivery. He presented our extensive work on the ODPC chatbot alongside representatives of the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, German Co-operation, GIZ, Maseno University, and Safaricom. The culmination of the month was the community demo day on March 19th, during which we launched and presented several products to the technology community.

March 19th Community Demo Day

At the community demo day, we were thrilled to present our Smart Speaker hardware and our THiNK IT digital assistant software. The reception and support from our community members was not just inspirational, but also a testament to the importance of our work. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.

In April, we conducted an online Community of Practice Event with Mutembei Kariuki of Fastagger to review the AI Code of Practice. Kindly subscribe to our ever-growing community here:
